When an electronic truck scale malfunctions and fails to operate, the cause of the fault should first be identified based on the structure ohe scale. To determine whether the fault occurs in the load cell or the weight indicator, the simplest method is to use a load cell simulator.
The load cell simulator is designed based on the workiprinciple of resistance strain gauge load cells and can simulate various loading states of these load cells. This simulator functions similarly to a DC standard voltage source, capable of providing simulated voltage signals corrg to various weighing ranges to the weight indicator. The excitation voltage for the sensor simulator is derived from the bridge supply voltage of the weight indicator, making it a passive signal generatoror simulator can be used to set up and calibrate weight indicators in the laboratory, as well as to promptly locate and identify fault causes on-site, thereby quickly troubleshooting; it is an iensable tool for the inspection and maintenance of electronic truck scales.
Disconnect the signal cable between the junction box and the weight indicator, plug the socket of the sensor simulator into the weight indicatoterface, and power on the system to check if the indicator operates normally. If the indicator works normally, the fault is located in the weighing platform section, caused by the load cell or junction box. If the indicator does not work normally, the fault is located in the weight indicator itself.
